Angry scenes at Donald Trump golf masterplan exhibition

A public exhibition of the drawings and detailed masterplan for US tycoon Donald Trump's controversial £1bn golf resort has witnessed angry scenes.

The details of the plan for Menie, north of Aberdeen, are being shown at a two-day event at the Udny Arms Hotel in Newburgh.

One objector, local home owner David Milne, was told to "clear off" by project director Neil Hobday.

The masterplan will be considered by Aberdeenshire Council later this year.

Several people turned out to object to the plans.

Mr Milne and other families who live on land wanted by the Trump Organisation say they are living under the threat of possible compulsory purchase orders.

However, Mr Hobday told him: "This is not your show, clear off."

Mr Milne said he had been invited by the company.

The masterplan includes detailed environmental, landscaping, construction and infrastructure plans.
